The Roulette Table Layout
The roulette table is laid out to correspond to the colors and numbers on the roulette wheel. The roulette table is designed as a grid of colors and numbers and allows for different kinds of betting. If you look at the diagrams below you will see that as with the wheel there are two variations, America and European. The numbers 1 - 36 are in a 3x12 gride with the "0" and "00" positioned by the 1-3 "street". The outside numbers marked 1st 12, 2nd 12 and 3rd 12 are bets that cover a dozen numbers 1-12, 13-24, 25-36. Against the 34, 35 and 36 on the left as you are facing the table are three boxes 2-1. These boxes are to bet on the adjacent columns of numbers. The Black/Red Odds/Evens , 1-18 and 19-36 are also available for betting. Bets on the number grid 0 or 00 to 36 are called "inside bets", while the bets on the other boxes are called "outside bets".
