How To Play Craps
If you want to play craps, you need to learn some basic rules. There are more complex bets but they should not be attempted by a new player
The game of craps is played on a specially marked craps table that can handle up to 16 players at one time.
The player that throws the dice is call the shooter. Once a round of craps is over, the dice are passed to the next player.
The first bet is placed on the "pass" or "don't pass" line by the shooter This is required before the dice are rolled. "Craps" is a roll of 2,3, or 12 and you automatically lose a "pass" bet. A 7 or 11 is a "natural" and you automatically win on a "pass" bet. The official rules on how to play craps states that the play continues if the throw did not result in craps or a natural. The number that was rolled a 4,5,6,8,9, or 10 becomes the point. The online craps rules and the official casino craps rules state that play continues until the shooter gets a seven or the point number.
Beginning Round
To start a craps round the players, up to 16, place their initial bets. At this time this is only time the "pass" and "Don't Pass" lines are bet upon. The craps player throws the first roll of dice. This roll is call the "come out". If the result of this roll is a 2, 3, or 12 "craps" the players with a bet on the "pass" line will lose. If the craps player rolls a 7 or 11 a "natural", the craps player with a bet on the "pass" line wins. If there is a winner on this round the craps round is done and you start again.
If the roll is not a "craps" or a "natural" the number will be between 4 and 10, this becomes the point number. The "on" button is placed on the number at the top of the table along with the bets. At this time you can increase your bet in the place area. The second throw of the dice is called the "place" roll. To make the point and win you must throw the place number. You can throw as many times as it takes to make this number, but if you roll a 7 you lose.
